I earned a degree in Business Administration from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma and became interested in the real estate profession while taking courses in Real Estate and Real Estate Appraising.
As a result, I obtained an Oklahoma Real Estate Brokers license in 1967 and was subsequently licensed in Kansas and Arkansas. I was a member of the Oklahoma Association of REALTORS Education Committee for many years, including one term as Dean of the Oklahoma Graduate Realtors Institute. I am a Past President of the Enid Board of Realtors, as well as the Hot Springs Village Board of Realtors, being honored as REALTOR of the Year in Enid in 1977.
I have seen a multitude of changes in the Real Estate Profession since 1967, but some things never change. We must still listen carefully, care more for the needs of those with whom we work than for that hoped for transaction, be open and honest with our clients, and not to try to sell them a home, but do everything we can to help them make the right decision for themselves. Satisfied clients often result in life long friendships, and their referrals make this occupation much, much more fun!!
